Our client is an Iconic Bike company with their Head Office based in Melbourne

They offer a wide range of bikes made of high quality parts at friendly prices. From entry-level childrens bikes, to high-end road bikes, and everything in between. 

They are now looking for an experienced Full Time Key Account Manager / Business Development Manager to join the team at their Head Office in Dandenong South.

Job Overview

  • Managing an existing list of identified National Key Account partners along with developing brand-new business opportunities on a national scale.
  • You will represent global leading brands currently trading at a wholesale level within the Australian Cycling Industry.
  • Maintaining and growing accounts and growing new distribution within multiple business sectors that have been identified in aligning to our product offer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new customer accounts across all market segments.
  • Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with key accounts
  • Oversee existing accounts and maximise future growth opportunities
  • Establish sales strategies for individual customers
  • Assist with new stockist / dealer set-ups
  • Represent the business at trade shows and exhibitions
  • Reviewing customer agreements to maximise investment
  • To gain an intermit understanding of current customers to deliver shared value
  • Create seasonal go to market plans whilst working closely with our product and marketing teams
  • Increased the distribution of brand portfolios
  • Identified, pursued and successfully closed sales opportunities in line with a companys overall strategic plan and financial objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver industry best practice brand presentations to key decision makers of targeted key accounts.
  • Provide regular feedback to management relating to competitor and market trends activity.
  • Support key accounts to implement marketing and promotional initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships
  • 2 + years experience working with national retail customers.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Computer literacy, sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a wider sales team
  • Results oriented
  • Previous experience in an account management role, ideally within a similar wholesale business.
  • Experience in delivering highly professional brand presentations and pitches to a wide variety of senior business stakeholders.
  • The ability and experience to manage a high workload with multiple priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in analysing data trends in order to create compelling business pitches to targeted audiences.
  • Demonstrates a proven track record in consistently setting, meeting and exceeding client experiences and expectations.
  • Has excellent task juggling skills, can problem solve on the go and is able to think outside the box to get the job done.
  • Is a skilled negotiator and is able to deliver business solutions for both partners.
  • Demonstrate strong networking and communication skills in a variety of settings
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to meet sales targets and to find innovative ways to develop solutions that add value for your customer
