Purpose of Role

Based in Dandenong South, this Spare Parts Interpreter position is responsible for conducting spare parts interpreting using the spare parts and associated DEUTZ Software tools. Working in collaboration with managers, other spare parts interpreters, administration, sales and technical staff and customers to ensure spare parts enquiries are managed with a high attention to detail and in a timely manner.

Reporting directly to the Spare Parts Manager, this role is an important position within the DEUTZ Australia team. The Spare Parts Interpreter is relied upon to provide support efficiently and will require you to have a flexible approach to work as you will be required to work autonomously and in a team.

DEUTZ Australia is customer focused so you will need to have great customer service skills and a courteous manner to ensure we provide the best possible service to our customer network.

Roles & Responsibilities

         Interpret parts for internal requirements and customer network via email and over the phone. Accurately solve customer enquiries and requirements in a timely manner.

         Conduct order processing, procurement, receipting and invoicing tasks as required.

         Work in collaboration with staff to provide spare parts support where needed.

         Effectively utilise the spare parts and other associated DEUTZ software tools.

         Train internal and external users of spare parts and other associated DEUTZ Software tools. Grow and promote aftersales and service business for DEUTZ Australia.

         Courteous manner & prompt answering of phones.

         Ensure you are up to date on DEUTZ spare parts related information and news.

         Assist in warehouse and other tasks as required.

         Coordinate with global DEUTZ colleagues as required.

         Conduct reporting on the DEUTZ service and aftersales business.

         Potential for work related travel ie: training, intercompany, visiting customers.

         Opportunities for after-hours call outs for spare parts.

Requirements / Skills

         Formal mechanical qualification or Automotive spare parts experience.

         Fundamental computer skills (Typing, Mouse, Internet, Email, Applications).

         Competency of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).

         High level customer service skills & customer driven.

         Great phone manner.

         Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

         Current and valid drivers licence.

Highly Regarded Additional Skills and Experience

         Certificate III in Automotive Sales (Parts Interpreting).

         Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology.

         Certificate III in Light Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

         Heavy Vehicles/Diesel Engines parts interpreting experience.

         Forklift licence.

         SAP ERP system experience

This role would ideally suit someone that has a mechanical background, is a great communicator, confident, customer focused, a good team player willing to help others and works well under pressure.
