An exciting opportunity presents itself for a Service
Technician to join this specialist supplier and service provider of European
sourced industrial, commercial and medical washing equipment to major companies
and organisations throughout Australia, New Zealand and SE Asia.
This successful and growing business based in Braeside, is
searching for an experienced, self motivated and full time Field Service
Technician.
The Role
Reporting to, the Senior Service Technician, this role will
see you using your broad range of skills and trouble shooting skills. You will be expected to deliver exceptional
repair and maintenance services and solutions to our customers. This role requires some interstate and
international travel.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties and responsibilities will include and not
limited to
Determine suitable material, method and
sequence of operations, and machine settings using drawings and specifications
Assembling machines and equipment and
fitting/upgrading parts into product
Attending customer sites to resolve breakdowns
and to perform maintenance services as required
Analyse customer systems and advise on
automation and integration solutions
Lead installation projects of equipment on
customer sites, supervising and contractor labour
Checking assembled machines for accuracy and
operation using (precision) measuring instruments
Using machining tools to press, cut, grind,
plane, bore and drill metal on large washing systems
Installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and
lines on large systems
Controlling the operation of machines used to
wash products
Diagnosing faults and performing operational
maintenance of machines, and overhauling equipment
Erecting machines and equipment on-site
Carry out commissioning and validation tests
according to Australian standards
Maintain a high level of service, both in
quality of work and in response time to breakdowns.
Be available for frequent regional, interstate
and overseas travel when required in order to carry out responsibilities
Complete tasks and timesheet in the service
management system in a timely manner.
Ensure through supervision and training that
the best practises of the Companys OH&S program are known and used by all
staff.
Qualifications and Experience
Restricted Electrical Licence (reconnect /
disconnect)
A Grade Electrical Licence highly regarded
Proven experience with mechanical and pneumatic
controls
Excellent communication skills
Professional and neat presentation at all times
Proven problem solving skills
Experience with repair, installation and
preventative maintenance in a similar industry highly regarded
Basic computer skills
