About this role.

Due to our continuous growth we have an exciting opportunity for a full time Payroll Officer to join our finance team. This role is based in Dandenong South. This role is an integral part of the business and is responsible for helping to process the pays of over 600 employees.

 

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing of fortnightly and monthly pays for over 600 employees.
  • Provide effective and timely communication to internal and external customers.
  • Dealing with numerical data and making complex calculations.
  • Be a team player with the ability to work autonomously.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise workloads in a fast paced environment.

Key to your success will be:

  • Your ability to have a high level of discretion as the role will expose you to highly sensitive information which must be kept confidential at all times.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are important as the Payroll functions are complex given the range of bonuses and commissions available to sales and internal staff.
  • The ability to meet deadlines is essential, which will require a high level of planning and ability to prioritize work commitments to achieve the required outcomes.
  • A high level of numeracy skills as you would be dealing with numerical data and at times complex calculations. An aptitude for maths and basic accounting are important in this role.
  • A knowledge of payroll systems, in particular, Sage MicrOpay will be a definite advantage, as well as good skills with standard office software such as MS Excel.
  • Patience and good communication skills will be highly valued having to deal with many payroll requests from across the business.

 

Related experience in this area will be essential.
