Deutz is one of the world's major independent manufacturers of diesel engines and natural gas engines.
Based in Dandenong South, Deutz Australia provides a range of diesel and natural gas engines for industrial, mining, marine, energy and agricultural purposes, as well as spare parts and service for all Deutz engine products.
Due to departmental growth, an exciting opportunity presents itself for a Spare Parts Interpreter. As an Essential Service industry, we have been busy and providing stable employment even with the challenging COVID-19 restrictions.
Working in the Deutz After Sales (Service and Spare Parts) Team, you will be reporting to the Spare Parts Manager. You will ideally already be a Spare Parts Interpreter who is looking to diversify out of the automotive or similar industry whereby you have gained experience with comparable practices and technology.
Alternatively, we will be accepting applications from capable junior Diesel Mechanics wanting to take their first step from a workshop into an office based spare parts supply and customer service environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Help grow the After Sales Business and be a major contributor to the departmental sales targets.
- Quickly and accurately solving customer product, availability or pricing enquiries.
- Initiate and complete order processing and invoicing
- Grow customers understanding of support software systems and promote aftersales initiatives.
- Assist in warehouse and other tasks as required
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess
- Knowledge of spare parts procedures and have a proven ability to compliment sales targets.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Diesel and Gas Engines
- Competent with MS Office
- SAP inventory control / ordering systems highly regarded
- Be well organised and can multi-task and deal with a variety of topics.
- Proven Customer Service skills both written and verbal
- Forklift Licence highly regarded but not essential
- Ability to work under pressure
- A proven ability to build strong relationships with customers
